Workshop on Coastal Zone & Environmental Issues

Workshop on Coastal Zone and Environmental Issues was successfully held in the Island of Fuvamulah from 19-20 February 2010. Forty participants from eight wards were represented in the workshop. People from government NGO's and civil society were represented.

The main topics covered in the workshop were, land erosion, waste disposal, conservation of wetlands, land use planning and reduction of carbon footprint.
