The project “Coral Reefs of the South Asian Region” was initiated by the SAARC Coastal Management Centre (SCZMC) Male’ in order to educate children and youth of SAARC member countries on coral reefs and their organisms, threats to reefs and opportunities to protect them. Browsing through the CD-Rom, the user decides whether to obtain general information from the four main chapters, or to open links which provide detailed facts, photos and videos about the fascinating world beneath the ocean surface. Biological/scientific terms are explained in the glossary of this interactive and user-friendly CD-Rom.
